Solage Calistoga

This project involved the interior design for a new hotel and spa for Auberge Resorts. The interior design played an integral role in the development of the first property for a new brand of modern, eco-friendly resorts called Solage. The design incorporated three basic guestroom types, with furnishings and finishes for the main public spaces, including a restaurant and lounge, an extensive spa and all outdoor pool and dining areas. The objective was to create a language that was both modern and urban, but spoke to the natural, rural beauty of the Napa Valley wine country. Clean lines and integrally colored concrete floors were combined with rich, custom walnut furnishings, limestone countertops, soft wool upholsteries, and hemp draperies, in colors taken directly from the surrounding landscape. This project was completed in 2008.
