This project involved the design of a new 3500 SF custom home with a detached carport and a pool. The house is positioned at the top of a knoll on an 8 acre site with expansive views of the Dry Creek Valley.  The property is steeply graded and lined with trees along its perimeter. The building area is located within a clearing at the top of the site with views on all sides. The central great room opens on to the pool and covered patio with panaramic vineyard views to the south, while bedrooms on the north and west sides of the house face more intimate, wooded views. Sustainable design was a high priority and every attempt was made to use the most energy efficient systems and materials. The project was completed in July 2011.
